Somewhere in Arizona
Destination Arizona
B. Thomas Cooper
When searching for adventure, one need look no further than scenic Arizona. A lifetime of exploration await all who come to this magnificent land. Whether by road or by raft, by trail or by rail, an adventure through Arizona is not one you soon forget.
Having lived in Arizona for nearly forty years, I couldn’t wait to show Gloria, my new wife around. She, having been raised in Los Angeles, was not familiar with the Grand Canyon State, but she and I quickly changed that, visiting twenty-four separate lakes, all in Arizona, in our first summer.
Together, my wife and I have traveled literally thousands of miles, traversing the state more times than we can count. We have photographed so many interesting places, eaten so much interesting food, and met so many interesting people along the way.
In the coming days and weeks, I hope to share our experiences with others who may be considering such an adventure, or perhaps those just along for a quick read. Of course, you are all invited to drop by from time to time. I hope to publish a new post about once a week.
I will also be including a little historical background whenever possible. I always enjoy learning a bit about the local color. After all, if the waitress at the diner doesn’t know a good story, I bet she knows somebody who does!
So don't be shy, look me up. You know where to find me.
I'll be somewhere in Arizona, having the time of my life.
