Hiking Season for Desert Mountains

Destination Arizona
B. Thomas Cooper
Editor

The season for hiking the lower desert elevations in central and southern Arizona is upon us once again. Mornings are cool, and afternoons quite pleasant.

Welcome to Destination Arizona, your online destination for everything about this amazing state and it’s rich history. In the coming weeks, I will be concentrating on regional hiking trails, and other related information. Be sure to check back every few days, or if you’d like, you can register for updates, and we’ll notify you every time we post a new article.

Don’t worry about missing articles, as everything is archived, and popular articles are often repeated for those who may have missed, or simply wish to read it again.

From Above

Many of you have asked why I haven’t written more about the Superstition mountain range East of Phoenix. Don’t fret, as I will soon be posting articles about Pauline Weaver, Jacob Waltz, an expose on the ‘Stone Maps’ and a flurry of other ‘Superstition Mountain’ related material.

This is also the season for sharing, so don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and comments with us here at Destination Arizona. In fact, why not? This land is indeed, your land, and here in the state of Arizona, we’ve got a lot of it!
