Hiking Season for Desert Mountains

The season for hiking the lower desert elevations in central and southern Arizona is upon us once again. Mornings are cool, and afternoons quite pleasant.

Welcome to Destination Arizona, your online destination for everything about this amazing state and it’s rich history. Many of you have asked why I haven’t written more about the Superstition mountain range East of Phoenix. Don’t fret, as I will soon be posting articles about Pauline Weaver, Jacob Waltz, an expose on the ‘Stone Maps’ and a flurry of other ‘Superstition Mountain’ related material.
